This course provides the candidates with the knowledge required to be able to successfully carry out roles within installing subsea power cables plus awareness of all the associated scopes.

- Feasibility Studies & Desk Top Studies, Environmental Impact.
- Engineering Standards
- Geophysical, Geotechnical Survey & Route Clearance
- Cable Installation Equipment Used
- Cable Load out from Factory to Vessel or Vessel to Vessel
- Cable Landing Onshore Beach.
- Onshore Cable Transition Pits.
- Cable Installations Horizontal Directional Drilling and Ducting.
- Cable Installations Offshore.
- Cable Pull-ins Offshore into WTG Towers/Substations.
- Cable Cores & Fibre Optic Cable Routing.
- Cable Test & Terminations.
- Cable Protection Systems (on and over the cables): CPS/Matting/Rock Filter Layers.
- Cable Burial, Trenching and or Plough (simultaneous lay & bury).
This course can be used as a module for Offshore Client Representatives and or a standalone course to allow for Managers/Project Engineers or other interested parties to fully understand the process. This general installation course will aid in all onshore/nearshore or vessel-based activities within the offshore wind & other offshore energy industries when conducting such projects.
The course is Instructor lead over a 1-day period online. Furthermore, Adhoc course days can be arranged.
